Suzy is originally from South Carolina. She married a Navy man and spent many years moving one duty station to the next! She moved to Minnesota November 2006 after retirement. While raising three young children, Suzy took odd jobs to stay busy and help the family. Once her children were old enough to not need her around as much, she was able to follow her dreams of furthering her education.

Suzy went back to school January 2011, starting in the Graphic Design program at North Hennepin Community College. Three classes away from her associate’s degree she transferred to Concordia University St. Paul to earn her Bachelors. In 2015, Suzy returned to NHCC to complete a few of her generals, and she earned her A.S. Degree. May 2016 in cap and gown Suzy walked with her class fulfilling a promise she made to herself and hopefully as a role model to her children.

Her hobbies include Crafting – building all those cute things we see on Pinterest. Decorating – especially for the holidays. And cooking, she loves finding new recipes.

Suzy is not sure what she is passionate about at this time. She finds herself at a transition period in her life. Her children, who have always been at the top of her list, are now older and discovering lives of their own. So, she finds herself wondering what to do next. Here’s to finding her new passion.
