James was born in Minneapolis and raised in both Minneapolis and Maple Lake, MN.

James holds several educational degrees including:

• A.A. in Humanities at Crosier Seminary J.C.
• B.A. in Humanities at St. John’s University
• A.A. in Visual Communications at Brown Institute

His hobbies include; calligraphy, typograph, art, Lim art, visiting and service to others.
